Lufthansa bistro lounge — Frankfurt, DE
The bistro lounge’s main objective is to encourage the guests to socialise. By combining joint cooking and flexible seating areas with an inviting atmosphere, the design concept creates an environment which the passengers feel comfortable in and promotes a community feel.
At its core is the modular “service box”, which can also be used as a service station inside the terminal. The interior design of the box was inspired by a kitchen in a home where people cook together and socialise. The guests have the option of creating their own meals by mixing the various ingredients on offer according to their individual taste.
The box is surrounded by various seating options that can be used in different ways: from comfortable sofas to bistro and larger tables and even recesses with desks, it offers everything.
